RNI Integration and Configuration at PGE

Solekai is working with Portland General Electric Co (PGE) and Sensus, as they build out their AMI system, with their goal to reach 850,000 endpoints deployed by 2010. Solekai has brought its expertise to assist with:

  • RNI network configuration and interface with PGE's proprietary MDM/MDC
  • Network security management
  • Test simulator for scale testing
  • System Acceptance Testing (SAT) at PGE's site
  • Software installation and training
  • Release process and documentation

This has allowed PGE and Sensus to more effectively implement their AMI system in a timely manner.

Installation and Testing for Advanced Metering Program

Solekai is working with a Sensus customer to ensure they reach a key milestone in their advanced electricity metering program which requires integration of FlexNet technologies. The client needed support and test the capabilities for a range of advanced features including automated meter reading, two-way communications between customers and their company, outage detection and remote reconnects and disconnects. Solekai activities included:

  • Porting the Sensus software to a Solaris environment using an Oracle database
  • Customized installation process
  • Documentation of total system configuration
